Beck honored with bridal shower

Kristina Elizabeth Beck was honored by her friends with a bridal shower Aug. 16 in Oklahoma City at the Marriott Hotel in Bricktown. Attending were Nikki Esquivel, Sarah Swanson, Kenie Corea, Heather Smith, Amanda Clark and Chelsea Masterson, all of Norman; Cheryl Bonsail of Oklahoma City; Britany Skelton of Moore; Helen Orf of Choctaw; and Ann Miller and Julie and Avery Haywood, all of Sallisaw.

Area students named to president’s honor roll at NSU

Northeastern State University has announced students named to the NSU president’s honor roll for the fall 2012 semester. Each semester, NSU recognizes students who have achieved superior academic performance by naming them to this honor roll. Sallisaw residents named on OBU honor roll

Four Sallisaw residents were named on Oklahoma Baptist University’s academic honor roll for the fall 2012 semester. Students who achieved a semester grade-point average of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale are named to the President’s Honor Roll. Those who achieved a grade-point average between 3.4 and 3.69 are listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll.

The Muldrow Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs celebrated their Basketball Homecoming at 6 p.m. Jan. 31 at the High School Activities Center. There were introductions of each Bulldog and Lady Bulldog team member, a dance performed by the Varsity Cheerleaders, and the formal presentation of the Homecoming Queen and her Court.
