Funeral services for Jack Brownfield, 61, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Brushy Holiness Church in Sallisaw with Darren Baggs, the Rev. Lee Thornell and Mrs. Tammy Tatham officiating.

Burial was in Brushy Cemetery, in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Mr. Brownfield was born Aug. 21, 1946, in Waldren, Ark., to Thurston "Pete" Brownfield and Aylene (Richmond) Brownfield. He died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Fort Smith, Ark.

Mr. Brownfield was a contruction supervisor for SSI Inc. in Fort Smith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam and of the Non-Denominational faith.

He married Sheila Gayle Risenhoover, April 24, 2004, in Fort Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila of the home; three daughters, Jeri Neas of Greenwood, Ark, Michelle Dorr of Sallisaw and Kimberly Buttery of Vian; one son, Jody Brownfield of Greenwood; four granddaughters; parents, of Greenwood; five sisters, twin sister, Donna Hurlocker of Central City, Ark., Ernestine Nally of Greenwood, Thursteen Francis of Boise, Idaho, Estine Windenburg of Hackett, Ark. and Eltaleen Boatwright of Van Buren, Ark.; three brothers, Howard Brownfield and Dennis Brownfield, both of Greenwood and David Brownfield of Mansfield, Ark.; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his dog Canton.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Martin, Dan Moulder, Teddy Sells, Archie Risenhoover, Kendall Marley and Jessie Hurlocker.

Honorary pallbearers were brothers and brothers-in-law and Billy Neas, Don Tounzen and Shane Buttery.
