A Sallisaw man was arrested earlier last month by Sallisaw Police after authorities were informed that 30-year-old Gerald William Taylor II, was possibly in violation of his parole. Charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were filed against Taylor on Jan. 28.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed by officer Tyler Wilson, on Jan. 11 officer Wilson was said to have been dispatched to a room at Motel 6 and met with two individuals with community sentencing who informed him that Taylor allegedly had items that were in violation of his parole.
