Roland Public School recently announced the names of the junior high students on the Superintendent's and Principal's Honor Rolls for the first semester of the 2015-16 school year.
Roland Upper Elementary recently released the names of the students on the All A's and A's and B's Honor Rolls for the second nine weeks of the 2015-16 school year.
Muldrow Middle School (MMS) chose 8th grade student Brinkley Thomas and 6th grade student Cameron Keith to be their November Students of the Month. Brinkley was nominated by Ms. Taylor. She said, “Brinkley is a wonderful student. She is polite and kind to all of her classmates. She demonstrates school spirit as a leader of the MJH Cheerleaders. She is a hard worker and I enjoy having her in class.” Cameron was nominated by Coach Armer. She said, “Cameron is an excellent student. She has a positive attitude toward any situation; she is hard-working and responsible. Cameron is always willing to help her peers and shows great leadership.”
Taylor Collins and Manuel Bunch, seniors at Roland High School, have been selected as the September Students of the Month.
Roland Junior High School (RJHS) students celebrated Gear Up week Sept. 28-Oct. 2. The students participated in activities all week. These activities included students writing down their plans for the future and displaying them in the hallway, writing letters to their “future” selves, playing BINGO to make peer connections, researching answers to college trivia and finally a balloon release. The balloons had slips of paper with each student’s future goals written on them along with instructions on how to post them on Facebook should the balloon be found at a later date.
Muldrow Middle School (MMS) chose fifth grade student Trenden Collins and seventh grade student Anna Hardin to be their September Students of the Month.
Lyndie Martin of Muldrow was recently inducted into the Alpha Beta Omega chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education at the University of Fort Smith, Arkansas, during an initiation ceremony that also recognized senior members of the society with outstanding academic performance.
Muldrow Middle School chose 5th grader Ty Watson and 8th grader Taylen Collins to be their August Students of the Month.
