Your TIMES has been running a photo contest all summer called, “Where do you read Your TIMES?” The idea is that readers will take a copy of the newspaper with them on vacation or other travels during the summer months and then send in photos of them and the newspaper in front of a landmark.

This is our second summer for the contest and we have received many wonderful entries, like the photo above. We have enjoyed the photos and next Friday you will enjoy them too.

We have changed the way we are selecting the end-of-summer winner. Last year, our staff chose the winner and this year you are going to do it. The contest ends this Monday, so in Wednesday's paper we will announce the first and second place August winners.

In Friday's paper we will print a section of all the photos we received this summer. Some readers sent in more than one, but we have selected what we thought was the best of theirs to limit each person to one photo submission. Along with the photos will be an entry form for you to select the best photo and then mail it or drop it by 111 N. Oak Street. We are only accepting original newspaper copies – no photocopies, email votes, etc.

The prize is $500. We will be accepting votes until 5 p.m. on Sept. 28.

The Sequoyah County Times went to Alaska, Europe, Mexico and made several trips to Florida this year, among the many locations.

We hope you enjoy seeing the photos as much as we did and we hope you take Your TIMES with you next year. Whether it is to Brushy Lake, Lake Tahoe or Tokyo.
