Trinity United Methodist Church on U.S. Highway 64 between Muldrow and Roland is the host site for Angel Food Ministries, a program that provides quality food at a low price.

Once a month the Angel Food Ministry provides a box of fresh meats, fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables and staple items for $30 per box. The menu of specific items in the box changes each month. No applications are required. There are no qualifications in order to purchase the food and there are no limits on the quantity purchased. Anyone may participate.

Payment must be made when placing the order. Online ordering is now available on the Web site at angelfoodministries.com. Credit and debit cards can now be used to purchase Angel Food online. A small fee may be charged for all online orders. Payment at the church may be made by cash, money order, credit or debit or food stamp cards. No personal checks will be accepted. No phone orders or mail orders are accepted. Participants must bring their receipt and a large box on the designated pick-up date in order to pick up the food.

The amount of food received for $30 is estimated to feed a family of four for a week, or a single person living alone for a month. The food is not day-old or outdated food. It’s all fresh, name brand products, shipped on refrigerated trucks for same-day distribution.

Orders for the November food delivery may be placed at the church on the following days:

•8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 19 through Nov. 6

•10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 7

The food will be distributed from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14. This is the only time to pick up the food ordered. Any food unclaimed will be donated to others in need.

•Three ribeye steaks, 8 ounces each

•Four boneless center cut pork chops, 4 ounces each

•Chicken fried rice skillet meal, 2 pounds

•Lasagna with meat sauce, 22 ounces

•Five-count breaded fish patties, 22 ounces

•Breaded chicken breast fillet, 1.5 pounds

•Frozen zucchini, 1 pound

•Frozen cauliflower florets, 1 pound

•Frozen broccoli florets, 1 pound

•Hash brown potatoes (7-count), 1 pound

•Bag fresh onions, 2-pound bag

•Breakfast cereal, 8 ounces

•Lean ground beef, 1 pound

•Shelf stable milk 2 percent, 32 ounces

•One dozen eggs

•Dessert item

Senior/Convenience Box $28

•Sliced turkey and dressing with gravy, corn and green bean, cranberry blend.

•Macaroni and beef with noodles, carrots, zucchini with red peppers.

•Country herb chicken with mashed potatoes, broccoli and green bean blend.

•Macaroni and cheese with broccoli and lima beans.

•Beef stew with carrots and potatoes, Brussels sprouts and corn, red pepper blend.

•Sweet and sour chicken with rice, sugar snap peas and carrots.

•Mesquite chicken with rice/black bean blend, carrots and green beans.

•Chicken and rice with mushroom sauce, green beans and black bean, corn blend.

•Charbroiled beef patty with mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots and corn blend.

•Lemon pepper baked fish with rice, peas and zucchini, red pepper blend.

•Dessert: assorted cookies, mixed fruit cup, applesauce, Nature Valley bar, cranberry juice cocktail, pineapple juice.

Processed to eliminate the eight top serious allergens: peanuts, soybeans, milk, eggs, fish, crustacea, tree nuts and gluten, wheat, rye and barley.
