A woman found passed out inside her car was an easy arrest for Sallisaw Police Officers.

Autumn Beth Christian, 33, of Muldrow was charged Sept. 30 in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw, with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Christian was found Sept. 28 sitting in a vehicle “passed out, holding a glass smoking device” in the Cherokee Casino parking lot on Kerr Boulevard in Sallisaw according to Sallisaw Police Officer Charles House.

When authorities turned off the car and woke Christian, “She was asked to step out of the car,” House reported. “She appeared to be confused and disoriented,” as she stood up and she was unstable on her feet according to the report.

A sobriety test was given to Christian and she failed. According to House, Christian was placed in the back seat of a patrol car.

Officers searched Christian’s vehicle and found a white rag containing two glass smoking devices with a burned residue. Authorities also found a spoon and a small metal spreader with residue inside Christian’s purse.

According to House, while Christian was being taken to Sallisaw City Jail she was moving around a lot in the back seat of the patrol car.

“I stopped the car and asked her to step out,” House reported.

When House looked in the back seat he found a white pill with the letters M359 on it.

Christian was booked into the jail Sept. 28 and posted a $11,500 bond Sept. 29.
