The Sequoyah County Court Clerk’s office is urging anyone with county fines or court costs to resolve the fines as soon as possible to avoid having a warrant issued for arrest.
Court Clerk Vicki Beaty said if fines are not paid before Dec. 2, a warrant will be issued for those with outstanding balances. To find out about outstanding balances and potential warrants contact the court clerk’s office at (918) 775-4411.
The list is being published in this issue of Your TIMES on page A5. Beaty said the list is being published to help reduce the number of outstanding balances for fines and court costs at the Sequoyah County Courthouse. She said existing fines and court costs are strictly through the court clerk’s office and have nothing to do with the City of Sallisaw.
“Do not call the City of Sallisaw or the Sallisaw Police Department. These are court costs and fines through the Sequoyah County Court Clerk’s office,” Beaty said.
