Eric Auger, 39, of Bunch was charged Oct. 19 in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw, with domestic abuse in presence of a minor.

Roland Police Department requested the services of Cindy Smith, investigator with the Sequoyah County district attorney’s office Oct. 9. When Smith arrived she spoke with Angelia Auger, 36, who said her husband, Eric Auger, became mad and started cursing and calling her names. Angela Auger told Smith that her husband hit her with his fist on her right cheek.

Smith spoke with Angelia and Eric Auger’s 16-year-old daughter who told Smith she had seen Eric Auger hit her mother in the face. The girl also told Smith Eric Auger was drinking heavily.

Smith said she attempted to speak with Eric Auger at the Roland Police Department but was unable to.

“Mr. Auger was extremely intoxicated and unable to speak with me,” Smith said in the report.

Eric Auger was arrested and booked into the Sequoyah County Jail on two counts of domestic violence in the presence of minor children. He was held without bond until his arraignment Wednesday.
