Pirates roll into Greenleaf semis

The Gore Pirates moved into the semifinals of the boys bracket, while the Lady Pirates and both Webbers Falls squads all suffered losses.
Gore 59, Oaks 25 (B)
The Class 2A 15th-ranked Pirates advanced on Monday evening with a 34-point rout of Oaks Mission.
Devan Rineheart led the way for Gore with a team-high 21 points. Fellow senior Ethan James also had a big game with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Pirates.
Gore took a five-point lead to the locker room at halftme, but blew the game wide open by outscoring the Warriors 42-13 in the second half.
The Pirates will put an undefeated 3-0 record on the line and try to secure a berth in the championship game when they take on Panama in the second round at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Panama advanced with a 68-48 win over Braggs as Jamikel Brooks netted 21 points.
Porum 62, WFHS 40 (B)
The Panthers avenged an earlier loss to Webbers Falls by defeating the Warriors in a first-round clash on Tuesday night.
Jason Wixom dropped in 25 points for Porum (3-1), which will face Porter in the semifinals.
Webbers Falls was paced by seniors Dakota Shipley and Craig Chappell with 19 and 14 points apiece.
The Warriors will try to bounce back on Thursday night with a consolation bracket game against Kinta at 5:50 p.m.
Kinta 58, WFHS 49 (G)
Alisha Carter scored 17 points to lead Webbers Falls in a losing effort against Kinta in the first round of the Greenleaf Invitational.
The setback dropped the Lady Warriors into a consolation bracket game against Braggs at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Kinta was scheduled to play Panama in the semifinal round.
Porum 55, Gore 11 (G)
Undefeated Porum moved into the semifinals of its own tournament on Tuesday night by defeating the Lady Pirates.
Gore (1-2) will play Oaks in the consolation bracket at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Porum (4-0) was paced by Caitlin Stinnett and Kamie Stout with 12 points apiece while moving into a semifinal clash against Porter.
