Roland School Board of Education announces election date

Officials with Roland Public School District, recently announced that anyone interested in running as a candidate for seat 5 on the Roland School Board of Education may file to run between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 7 through Dec. 9. Those planning to run for a post on the school board must file for their candidacy at the Sequoyah County Election Board in Sallisaw.

The annual election of the School District Electors for Roland School District will be held at the regular voting places on Feb. 9 and the second election if no candidate for the board member position receives more than 50 percent of the vote will be held April 6.
