A science teacher at Dahlonegah Public School in Stilwell was booked into Sequoyah County Jail Dec. 31 after a mother made a report to the Sallisaw Police Department that her two sons had possibly been molested.

Jason Hodge Rider, 36, of Sallisaw was charged Dec. 31 with two counts of lewd molestation in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw. A warrant for Rider’s arrest was issued on Dec. 31. Rider was booked into the Sequoyah County Jail on Jan. 1, and later released on a $25,000 bond. An arraignment was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in district court.

Jeff Limore, Dahlonegah School superintendent, said the school has been notified that charges were filed against Rider and the allegations against him are of a sexual nature.

“Because of the seriousness of the allegations, parents have been notified and Rider has been placed on leave until board proceedings can be held,” Limore said in a press release.

Dahlonegah School administrators declined further comment until the outcome of the investigation.

Sallisaw Police Officers interviewed the two boys and an investigation into the accusations against Rider. According to the report, a 15-year-old juvenile boy told authorities that in October while staying with Rider in Riders home, Rider would come into his room and pull his pants down and start rubbing his penis and legs.

According to the report Rider did this on several occasions. The boy explained that on one occasion while camping with Rider he was watching television in Rider’s camper. He said Rider told his son to go outside and play. The juvenile said when Riders son went outside, Rider started rubbing him. He said when Rider’s son tried to come back inside the camper Rider screamed at him to go play.

The juvenile said on another occasion, Rider grabbed his younger brother’s penis. He said his brother would tell him to stop and Rider would grasp his penis harder. Both juvenile boys told authorities the last time this happened was Dec. 6 when the two boys rode with Rider to Fort Smith, Ark.

I used to work for this man, and I can say beyond a doubt he is guilty. He always had his entourage of teenage boys with him. He uses intimidation and money to get what he wants from everyone, and so far has. He has an adopted 10 year old son, which I am concerned about, and teaches, or taught in public schools. He is a predator, and a victimizer. If he is found guilty, as I am sure there is more than enough evidence of,his teaching license, liquor licenses, and child all need to be taken away. I have never in my life met someone as corrupt and evil as this man.

yeah, this guy also has several liquor license floating around in ft. smith arkansas, to my understanding you cannot be a felon, if convicted and have these license. He also has a phd in education, hopefully if they continue to let him teach and be licensed it's not any of our kids.He also currently has a son that he adopted and this is truly the saddest part of it all.

Yep, he's always had teens living around him. The guy is a real piece of work. I remember many times that he tried to intimidate me. He never tried any of his touchy feely type crap. DHS should look further into the children he has surrounded himeself with. I'm sure theres more there an meets the eye as LifeNSallisaw mentioned. Poor children, I truly hope the lord brings them justice, noone should have to go through those types of things.

Myself and several friends have known this guy for years and also suspected him as a pedophile. He has had access to numerous young children including foreign exchange students, and Therapeutic foster care childen, always male and always within a certain age range. Hopefully DHS, and the prosecuting attorney's will investigate this thoroughly and also check out his history of other children that have been placed in his home. There is much more to this than meets the eye.

This guy has been suspected by his peers of being a "child molestor" since back in the 90's.

He used to manage the "odyssey" pool hall. Several people had run ins with him. I even know of one person he pulled a gun on. In my opinion this guy needs to be behind bars and stay there.

If Im not mistaken at one point in time he was even a reserve police officer for Sallisaw.

This is happening all over the country. Go to www.schoolteachernews.com and click on the Scandal page. This year they have already documented at least 9 of these types of incidents. . In 2009 they found 464 of these kinds of cases.
