The members of the Vian Chamber of Commerce invite everyone out to shop at the Christmas Open House from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Participating in the open house are Jody’s Buds n’ Blossoms, MeMe’s Treasures, Smokin Meals and Weekend Deals, Breezees and Mine and Lou’s.
“Anyone bringing in a copy of this story will also receive a 10 percent discount,” Linda Walters with the chamber said.
The Shop Vian Cash Giveaway kicked off Nov. 9. By shopping at participating merchants and for each $10 you spend you can enter your name in a drawing for $300, $150 and $50 cash prizes, Walters said.
The drawing will be held at the gazebo on Dec. 3 following the Lions Club Christmas Parade and the park lighting.
“You must be present for the drawing and 18 years of age to participate,” Walters said.
Participating merchants are Jody’s Buds n’ Blossoms, MeMe’s Treasures, Smokin Meals and Weekend Deals, Magnolia House, Mine and Lou’s, L&S Feed and Lube, Vian Wheel and Tire, Vian Tenkiller News, C&C Auto, Breezees, Short Stop No. One and Two, Simon’s Ace Hardware, Sequoyah Smoke Shop, Mike’s Garage and Thornton Screen Printing.
“The chamber members wish to thank these merchants for participating and would also like to thank Shiloh Ranch, Vian Baptist Church and Simon’s Ace Hardware for their generous donations,” Walters said.
The second annual Festival of Trees and Park Lighting sponsored by the Vian Chamber of Commerce will be Dec. 3 following the parade.
“We invite everyone to take part and bring their tree to display at Anna Belle Farmer Park downtown. The trees need to be on display by 5 p.m. Dec. 3,” Walters said.
Individuals, clubs, organizations, churches and businesses are all encouraged to enter. We are expecting more trees this year than last year,” Walters said
“If you can’t display a tree, we invite you to help light the park. You can also light a live tree,” Walters said.
