Adam Rodgers was arrested at his home north of Sallisaw, off old Highway 17, Frank Loyd with the District 27 Drug Task Force said. Rodgers was booked into the county jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearms in commission of a felony and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was later released on an $11,000 bond and was due to be arraigned in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw, Wednesday.
Loyd said investigating officers seized eight rifles and three handguns at Rodgers’ house, and about four pounds of marijuana. They also seized a 2000 Ford pickup truck and $1,900.
Assisting the Drug Task Force in the investigation and arrest was the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, Sallisaw police and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife.
