Muldrow man arrested for drugs during raid

An investigation by District 27 Drug Task Force agents led to the arrest of a Muldrow man and caused multiple drug-related charges to be filed against the man Thursday morning.

After an ongoing investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamines in Sequoyah County, Sallisaw police officers and Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant for the residence of Justin Earl Mitchell, 25, of Muldrow, Thursday.

Officers at the scene reported finding substances appearing to be chemicals and equipment commonly associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Mitchell was booked in the Sequoyah County Jail on charges of endeavoring to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a police scanner in commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, possession of a controlled a dangerous substance (morphine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mitchell is being held without bond in the Sequoyah County Jail.
