According to the report the victim told Deputy Roy L. Coleman that she and her granddaughter were sitting on the couch when Stroud broke through the front door of her home and pointed the pistol at her. Stroud told the victim “he would kill her and then kill himself.” He continued to say he would kill her as he walked out the door into the woods near the home.
The report states that Coleman tried to locate the suspect but was unsuccessful. Stroud has two prior felony convictions in Sequoyah County.
Stroud was charged in Sequoyah County District Court with burglary in the first degree, feloniously pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm after conviction or during probation.
According to the Sequoyah County Court Clerk’s office a felony warrant has been issued for Stroud’s arrest.
