The Muldrow baseball team is off to a 3-0 start this season after posting an 11-0 win on Tuesday afternoon at Panama.

Junior pitcher Tyler Fain hurled a no-hitter for the Bulldogs, striking out five Razorback batters to collect the win.

The Bulldogs jumped on top early, scoring three runs in each of the first two innings and then plating five more in the top of the third. Muldrow won by the run rule after four innings.

Leadoff hitter Cody Limore was the offensive leader for Muldrow, batting 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and three runs scored.

On Monday, Muldrow picked up its second win of the season with a 6-4 victory in extra innings at Spiro.

Sophomore J.P. Hill provided the heroics for Muldrow, hitting a two-run double to break a 4-4 tie in the top of the eighth inning.

Muldrow held Spiro scoreless in the bottom of the inning as sophomore pitcher Clay Brizendine picked up the win in relief.

Hill was 3-for-5 at the plate for Muldrow, while senior Joe Fate Ransom batted 3-for-4 in the triumph.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
