A Sallisaw man was terminated from the Sequoyah County Drug Court Program and sentenced to 10 years in state prison, District Attorney Jerry Moore said Wednesday.
James Wesley Jacobs, 30, of Sallisaw had been on probation for previous drug charges. Jacobs was sentenced to drug court and failed to comply by the rules and conditions of drug court and was terminated from the program. An order revoking Jacobs’ suspended sentence was issued last week.
Kyle Waters, the assistant district attorney handling the case, said, “The consequences of failing the drug court program are substantial.”
