U.S. Attorney Sheldon Sperling said, “Charges arose from an investigation by the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department, Sequoyah County District Attorney’s Office, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Drug Enforcement Administration.”
Sperling said between 2005 and March 2009 Garza and others conspired to distribute in excess of 500 grams of methamphetamine to various individuals and according to court records one of those individuals, Kelly Sue Gardenhire, 31, of Sallisaw was recently charged with conspiracy to deliver controlled dangerous substance in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw.
According to court records, Gardenhire was charged with one count of conspiracy to deliver on or between Jan. 1 and Feb. 26. The report states Gardenhire conspired and agreed with Garza to commit the crime of delivering CDS. According to the report, Gardenhire brought in and distributed methamphetamines to Sequoyah County.
