According to a dispatcher with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office a 911 call came in about a man laying in the back of his truck with his feet hanging over the tailgate.
Brandon James “B.J.” Keith was working at a house in Kibler, Ark., Tuesday evening installing a garage door.
“He was electrocuted when he touched his truck,” Crystal Harmon, B.J.’s sister-in-law, said. Harmon said Keith had a welder and a generator in the back of his company truck.
Harmon said Keith was unaware the truck had became energized and must have touched it.
“Keith left behind his wife, Angel, and a four-year-old daughter.”
Harmon said when the police came up to the door to tell Keith’s family about his death, Angel and their daughter were in the process of baking a cake for his birthday.
The family has set up an account with Arvest Bank in Muldrow as the Brandon Keith Family Expense account. Donations may be made at any Arvest Bank location.
The family had no insurance relatives said.
Funeral services for Keith are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Agent Chapel in Muldrow.
