On June 27 the Special Victims Unit of the Sallisaw Police Department teamed up with the Sallisaw N.O.W. Coalition and the Sallisaw N.O.W. Youth Coalition to sell food items at the Old Timers Day. I cannot express my appreciation to those that helped, either by donating funds, labor or food items. I wish to thank Dan Callahan and Mark Long from the Coop for the use of the tanks. I thank Walmart and Marvin’s Foods. Thank you to Sallisaw N.O.W. Coalition and the Sallisaw N.O.W. Youth Coalition for presenting the face painting for the kids of all ages. Thank you to Eddie Martin. Thank you to Help In Crisis, Cecil and the Boys and Girls Club, Noreen, for their help. We could not have done it without you. A special thank you to the Special Victim’s Volunteers that stood out in the heat and cooked or served. I hope that next year will be even better.
