VIAN - Dylan Taylor ran 27 yards for a touchdown on his first carry of the season and the Vian Wolverines never looked back while routing Eufaula 56-0 on Friday night at St. John Stadium.

Taylor, who missed the first two games of the season with a knee injury, added three more touchdown runs before halftime as the Wolverines took a commanding 42-0 lead to the locker room.

He finished with five TD runs. John Jumper tossed a 35-yard touchdown pass to Shane Spears, Landon Decker scored on a 55-yard interception return, DaMariae Ware added a 1-yard TD run and Chris Peoples was 8 for 8 on extra point kicks.

Vian improved to 3-0 with the non-district win, while Eufaula dropped to 0-3.

Vian opens District 2A-8 play on Friday at Sequoyah-Tahlequah.

Sallisaw 35, Tahlequah 21

Matt Oberste passed for three touchdowns and ran for another on Friday night to lead Sallisaw to a come-from-behind win over Tahlequah at Perry F. Lattimore Stadium.

The Black Diamonds trailed 21-20 entering the fourth quarter, but Sallisaw went in front on Oberste’s 4-yard TD pass to Trey Wiley with 9:24 left.

Oberste also had touchdown passes to Aaron Fullbright and Tyler Clifton along with a 1-yard TD run. Jeromy Davenport scored the other Sallisaw touchdown with a 19-yard.

Sallisaw moved to 3-0 and will open District 4A-4 play on Friday at home against Broken Bow.

Roland 24, Spiro 18

SPIRO - Teven Thompson carried the load on Friday night as Roland edged Spiro at McClain Stadium.

The Rangers’ senior tailback carried the ball 38 times for 263 yards and three touchdowns as Roland improved to 1-2 with the win. Thompson scored on runs of 29, 2 and 48 yards and Jeff Roberts kicked a 32-yard field goal for Roland.

Next up for Roland is a Friday night game at home against Idabel.

Central 38, Porum 6

Brandon Holt scored three touchdowns on Friday night as the Tigers stayed undefeated with a win over Porum at Tiger Field.

Holt scored on runs of 1 and 13 yards and also returned a punt 59 yards. Jake Lineberry went 47 yards with an interception and Ryan Rogers added TD runs of 5 and 31 yards.

Central is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in District A-6.

Gore 35, Keota 6

GORE - The Pirates stayed undefeated on Friday night with District A-6 win over Keota at K.G. Horn Stadium.

James Berry and A.J. McFarland ran for touchdowns, Jaykob Taylor returned an interception for another score and Logan Andres tossed TD passes to Colten Clay and Joe Lane as Gore moved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the league.

The Pirates have another home game on Friday against Pocola.

Muldrow 28, Stilwell 10

STILWELL - The Bulldogs won on the road Friday night to push their record to 3-0.

Muldrow opens District 4A-4 play on Friday night against Wagoner.
