Warren was videotaped backing into a parked car near the Walmart automotive department in Sallisaw.
The owner of the parked car, Irene Adele Fields, told Sallisaw Police her 1993 Ford Taurus was hit Sunday while parked in the garage area of Walmart.
According to the report, Fields reported the accident to Walmart. Walmart was able to pull up the security video.
The video shows Warren ramming the back of Fields car then pulling up, getting out and looking at the damage to her vehicle.
According to the report, Warren got back into his vehicle and backed up around Fields’ car. The video shows Warren backing up to a woman, later identified as Delora Sue Moore, who was pushing a tire out of the garage area. Warren got out of his car and put the tire in the trunk then drove away.
Fields said she didn’t realize her car had been hit until Tuesday morning when she saw damage to the rear bumper.
Sallisaw Police Officer Dennis Brewer spoke with Warren Tuesday. Warren reportedly told Brewer he had a lot of things on his mind.
“That was the reason for not reporting the accident,” Warren said.
Warren was booked into the Sallisaw City Jail Tuesday at 9:03 a.m. He was released at 9:11 a.m. Jail officials said Warren paid a $155 fine and left.
Warren was caught on videotape removing Steve Carter’s campaign signs five years ago during an election, which Carter won. Warren apologized to the public and his staff and charges were not filed.
