These programs include case management services, community integration programs, outpatient treatment services, prevention and diversion programs, and residential treatment.
This latest accreditation is the fourth consecutive three-year accreditation the international accrediting commission has awarded to Bill Willis Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Center.
Margaret Bradford, center spokesman, said this accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served, Bradford said.
Founded in 1966 CARF establishes consumer-focused standards to help organization measure
and improve the quality of their programs and services.
Bill Willis Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Center is owned and operated by the State of Oklahoma and provides services on behalf of the citizens of Adair, Cherokee, Sequoyah and Wagoner Counties. Bradford said service locations are available in each county during regular business hours with evening appointments available based on need. No fees are charged to individuals meeting income criteria.
