Two juvenile girls are accusing Jonnie Henry Morain Jr. of sexually assaulting them —one told authorities Morain allegedly assaulted her in May 2006 and the other in October 2007 and also in November.
Morain, 39, of Muldrow was charged Oct. 19 with first-degree rape of a 13 year old. Morain was released from Sequoyah County Jail on a $10,000 bond Oct. 28. His arraignment was passed to Nov. 6 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
Now, Morain faces new charges. On Dec. 28, Morain was charged with second-degree rape, attempted rape and sexual battery of a 15-year-old girl. He was released from Sequoyah County Jail on a $50,000 bond. His arraignment was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The 15 year old told authorities that from October to November 2007 Morain had touched her sexually. She told Cindy Smith, investigator with the district attorney’s office, that when she was asleep Morain came in and began to feel between her legs.
The 15 year old told Smith that Morain took her bottoms off and got on top of her and pulled his underwear down and exposed his penis. She said Morain held her hands with one hand while he tried to perform sexual acts. She told Smith she was able to kick Morain off of her and he left her bedroom.
According to the report, two days later Morain shut the door behind the juvenile and pushed her down on his bed and he tried the same sexual acts but she wouldn’t quit kicking and screaming and he stopped the alleged attack. She said Morain told her if she told anyone she would be grounded for a year.
According to the report when the 15-year-old told her mother and her mother confronted Morain he denied the allegations and the 15-year-old was grounded. There were no further incidents until Nov. 9 according to what the 15-year-old girl told authorities.
On Nov. 9 Morain allegedly started rubbing the 15 year old girl inappropriately and when she tried to leave she said Morain grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her to him and told her he couldn’t get any from her mother and he was going to get it any way he could.
Smith spoke with Morain on Nov. 13 and Morain denied the allegations. In October just two months prior to the recent charges, Morain was arrested and charged with first-degree rape of a 13 year old.
According to the affidavit, in October Smith received a report from a juvenile female who said Morain had sex with her while she was at Morain’s home.
The 13 year old told Smith that Morain laid her down on a couch and removed her clothing. She told police that she told Morain to stop on several occasions.
On Oct. 24, 2008, Smith spoke with Morain who denied the allegations against him. Morain stated he had hugged the girl but nothing more. Morain also told Smith that on one occasion the girl was showering and realized she didn’t have a towel so she asked him to bring her one.
Morain said there might have been contact between him and the girl while the two were wrestling. He explained to Smith that he thought at one time he may have grabbed the girl by the legs and maybe pulled them apart and pulled her to him. Morain faces over 25 years in prison if found guilty of the charges.
