Brendan Joseph Baker, 29, and Tonya Michelle Wilson, 36, both of Sallisaw were booked into Sequoyah County Jail on endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“Baker attempted to bring two packages of methamphetamines concealed in his anal cavity into the jail,” Lockhart said.
Baker also faces charges for carrying contraband into the jail. Jail authorities reported while booking Baker they found two bags containing a white powder substance in his anal cavity.
Wilson also faces possession of marijuana. Both are being held without bond and their arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw.
Lockhart said the sheriff’s department contacted the Terrorism Task Force due to the amount of ammonium nitrate that was discovered on the scene. Ammonium nitrate is the base explosive that was used in the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. Lockhart said agents with the Terrorism Task Force were expected to interview Wilson and Baker soon. Lockhart said this is the fifth methamphetamine lab the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s office has seized since Jan. 1.
