"This is the fourth year the coalition members have participated in the Angel Tree," Niki Alderson, advisor, said.
"With the money donated by the members of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the items collected through the TEEN Coalition's Tot and Teen Gift Drive, they were able to help provide Christmas gifts for about 88 children and teens," Alderson said.
"The church provided names of children and teens in the community that needed special assistance," Alderson said.
"Shopping for these children and teens is so much fun," Erin Martin, TEEN coalition member, said.
"The TEEN Coalition members thoroughly enjoyed shopping for these gifts, and they are so conscientious about what they purchase for each and every person on the Angel Tree list," Alderson said.
In order to give the children and teens even more gifts, the coalition members sponsored a Tot and Teen Gift Drive at the high school, Alderson said.
"We place large boxes throughout the high school and encourage all students to bring a gift," Christopher Larcade, coalition member, said. "This year we collected so many gifts that we were able to assist another organization in providing children with toys."
