Pat Cooke, helped organize the paint give-away.
About two pallets of the paint was given away free Saturday to residents to spruce up their homes, Sprouse, said.

Members with Leading Individuals Further Everyday; the Youth Action Council for Service Learning; Future Career Community Leader of America; Future Farmers of America; and student council at Gans High School spent Saturday and Tuesday painting two houses in Gans.
The students began working on the home of an aide at the elementary school Saturday and finished up Tuesday.
"I wanted to give something back to the community. I am in a lot of programs at the school. I enjoy being a leader, and that means giving back," Renee Peters, a junior at Gans High School, said. "It is a positive way to have fun."
