McKey School, Community Reunion Set For October 2

The 10th McKey School and Community Reunion will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 2. The first reunion was held in 1985. The past 19 years have reunited families and friends, plus relived many memories of McKey School, Jackie Snow Pop, reunion chairman, said.

This year we've renovated half of McKey's Community Building back to a one-room school. Pictures and mementos can be viewed all year long in McKey's Little Museum. The softball field is ready for a toss, hit, run, or walk game. All ballplayers and cheer squads can register for a ballgame at 9:30 a.m. then the ballgame is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. A covered dish luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m. McKey's 10th school reunion group picture will be taken at 1:15 p.m. A short program will be held inside the school building at 1:30 p.m.

"Mark your calendars, bring a covered dish, family, friends and pictures, and we'll see you at school," Pop said.
