Two adults and a 16-year-old boy were arrested Tuesday after Sallisaw Police officers found drugs while serving a search warrant at a Sallisaw home.
Sallisaw Police Chief Shaloa Edwards said officers served the drug search warrant at about 8:30 a.m. at a home located at 109 S. Main St. During the drug raid Edwards said officers seized an amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia located inside the home.
Timothy Turner, 43, and Debbie Parent, 38, both of Sallisaw, along with their 16-year-old son, were arrested. Turner and Parent were booked into the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, unlawfully maintaining a home in which drugs are kept or distributed, and keeping or conceding drug proceeds, Edwards said.
According to the police report, the 16-year-old was referred to Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs.
Also in the residence were a 15-year-old and 17-year-old who were visiting the home and a 12-year-old and a 9-month-old, who were children of the suspects. The children were turned over to relatives, Edwards said.
The search warrant stemmed from an undercover investigation in which a confidential informant purchased a small amount of methamphetamine from Turner several days prior to the drug raid, according to the police report.
