The preliminary hearing set Friday for a Gore couple accused of forcing their 6-year-old child to videotape the couple having sex has been continued.

Dusty G. Callison, 26, and Jennifer R. Callison, 26, were each charged Dec. 27 with one count of felony child sexual abuse, according to Sequoyah County District court records.

A preliminary hearing for the couple was set for Friday, but was continued. According to court records, prior to the continuance, on April 25 and 26, Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse recused himself from the cases.

The charges against the duo are connected to a Dec. 19 incident in Gore. Gore Police Officer Vernon Laffoon was contacted by one of the child's relatives, who was concerned because the child said that he had to stay home from school and videotape his mother, Jennifer Callison, and father, Dusty Callison, having sex.

During an interview with a children's advocate, the child described the sex act. He also said that a person by the name of Clayton also videotaped his parents having sex. According to court records, the child reported that he had been at home for five days and that on four of those days he videotaped his parents having sex. He also said that his parents smoked "green leafy stuff" and that his dad kept a gun in the closet to kill "strangers and bad guys."

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
