Two bloodmobiles will be utilized for the process, while the lodge will be open for additional seating.
"During the blood drive, donors will be served a chili and stew meal, will receive donor pins and will also receive a Halloween themed T-shirt," Tammy Crites, senior recruiter for United Blood Services, said.
"What's even more exciting is that the ladies of the Church of Christ in Sallisaw were so generous with their time and made a special quilt to be drawn as the grand door prize at this drive.
"These ladies have been planning and working on this quilt since mid-summer, and we are grateful for their kindness."
Crites said the blood drive is a way to show appreciation to donors.
"We have several donors who participate in blood drives on a regular basis and we want to recognize their time and commitment," Crites said. "All summer, we at United Blood Services struggled to keep enough blood on the shelves, and with the support of Sallisaw donors and our blood drive committee for Sequoyah Memorial, many lives were saved because of the unselfish act of giving blood by this community.
"Sequoyah Memorial's blood drive committee is a group of volunteers who invest several hours of their time to ensure we meet the needs of our patients who rely on volunteer blood donors every day."
