Don Harvey's truck broke down the morning he and his wife, Joyce, discovered they had won a $105.8 million Powerball jackpot.

Harvey, 64, of Muldrow has been a trucker since the age of 17. He said he would buy a used truck with some of the winnings. When asked why he wouldn't buy a new truck, he said because a used truck doesn't immediately depreciate in value.

The couple said they plan to share the money with family and pay bills.

The Harvey's elected to take the lump sum cash option of $46,837,771, rather than the larger 29-year, 30-installment annuity. After state and federal taxes, they walked away with a check for $33,254,815. A total of 29 percent is taken out in taxes for all prizes over $5,001, including 25 percent in federal taxes and 4 percent in state taxes, a press release stated.

Joyce Harvey, who works with her husband as a dispatcher, said they played Powerball for years in other states before Oklahoma made the game available. She said they plan to continue playing the lottery because it benefits education.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Shell station in Roland located at 124 Ray Fine Blvd. The winning numbers were 9, 11, 13, 24, 43 and the Powerball was 18 with a Power Play number of 4.

This is the second jackpot winning Powerball ticket sold in Oklahoma. The WJW Investment Trust claimed the first jackpot of $101.8 million in August 2006.
