ROLAND RANGERS

Head Coach: Eddie Lewis

Noteworthy: The Rangers have everyone except Stanley Releford and Justin Woody back from last year's championship team... Roland was scheduled to get a tune-up for the county tourney with a Jan. 3 home game against Eufaula... The Rangers are the highest ranked team in the tournament at No. 7 in the CoachesAid.com rankings for Class 4A.

MULDROW BULLDOGS

Record: 3-1

Conference: NOAA

Class: 4A

Head Coach: Brooks Cawhorn Jr.

Noteworthy: The Bulldogs have wins over Spiro, Stigler and Poteau with the lone loss coming at Roland on Dec. 12... Muldrow has won 11 of 12 previous games at the county tourney... The team's top scorer so far this season has been sophomore point guard Caleb Cawhorn... Muldrow is ranked 20th by CoachesAid.com.

SALLISAW BLACK DIAMONDS

Seed: 3

Record: 5-3

Class: 4A

Head Coach: Jeff Chronister

Noteworthy: The Diamonds have never won the county tournament, but enter this year's competition on a three-game winning streak... Sallisaw has played one of the tougher schedules so far with losses coming against small-school power Boynton, at Wagoner and at Stilwell.

GORE PIRATES

Seed: 4

Record: 2-4

Conference: Northeast Lakes

Class: 2A

Head Coach: George Dotson

Noteworthy: Gore's victories this season were against Crowder and Keys, but the Pirates will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to Okay and Liberty at their festival on Dec. 19-20... The Pirates are the only non-Class 4A team to have reached the boys' championship game. They lost to Muldrow in the 2001 and 2002 finals.

VIAN WOLVERINES

Seed: 5

Record: 5-2

Conference: Northeast Lakes

Class: 2A

Head Coach: Leland Williams

Noteworthy: The Wolverines have already won one tournament this season, taking first place at the Connors Invitational in December... This will be the second year in a row for Vian to open against neighboring rival Gore. Last season, the Wolverines edged Gore 63-58 in overtime to make it to the semifinals.

CENTRAL TIGERS

Seed: 6

Record: 4-2

Conference: Northeast Lakes

Class: 2A

Head Coach: Michael Wynne

Noteworthy: Central has the best all-time record among small schools at the county tournament. The Tigers have gone 7-5 in previous tourneys and have twice knocked off Sallisaw... Central is undefeated against Oklahoma opposition. The Tigers' two losses came against Arkansas teams at the Arkoma tournament... Central's biggest win of the season came on Dec. 16 with a victory at No. 8-ranked Oktaha... The Tigers are currently rated 12th in Class 2A by CoachesAid.com.

GANS GRIZZLIES

Record: 3-2

Conference: Riverside Athletic

Class: A

Head Coach: Larry Ringgold

Noteworthy: The Grizzlies got a late start to their season after making a run to the state championship football game... They've defeated Kinta, Braggs and Porum with setbacks coming against Panola and Central... Senior guard Jordan Woodruff was one of the top scorers in last year's tournament with an average of 20.5 points.

WEBBERS FALLS WARRIORS

Conference: Riverside Athletic

Class: B

Head Coach: Sean Dandridge

Noteworthy: The Warriors picked up a 51-41 win at Braggs on Dec. 9 for their only victory so far... Sean Dandridge will be one of the busier coaches at this year's tournament. He also coaches the girls team
