Investigations into charges of alleged sexual crimes against juveniles filed last year against a Muldrow man recently led to the arrest of his wife for first-degree rape.

DeDe Laman, 25, was taken into custody by Roland Police officers Dec. 29 and then transported to the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw after investigations revealed that she and her husband, Alan "Skipper" Laman, allegedly used their Roland business, Skipper's Game Room, to lure juveniles to their home and sexually assault them.

Taped interviews conducted by Muskogee Police Officer Shannon Humphries, at the request of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with some of the Lamans' victims revealed that the couple befriended the young female juveniles at their business, a place that catered to teens under the age of 17, according to court records.

The Lamans allegedly asked girls to spend the night and during the evening, Alan Laman would allegedly rape the girls with the help of his wife.

Officer Humphries was told by one of the victims that she and DeDe Laman had become friends at the game room and DeDe had asked the girl to spend the night at her home on numerous occasions.

The victim said on one occasion, which occurred between June and August 2003, the she was escorted into a bedroom, undressed, and placed on the bed by DeDe Laman. According to court records, DeDe Laman told the girl not to tell anyone of the incident before she left the room and Alan Laman came into the room, put on a condom and began having intercourse with her. The victim said she told Alan Laman to stop, which he did.

Alan Laman has been held at the county jail since April, when a first-degree rape charge was first filed against him. Last year, he was also charged with indecent exposure, lewd molestation, possession of child pornography, and making lewd proposals to a minor child in connection with the alleged rape of an 11-year-old girl. Additional charges of indecent exposure, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and another first-degree rape charge were filed last week against him in connection with other incidents involving juveniles.

Dede Laman was first charged with failure to report child abuse last year. She was charged Dec. 29 for first-degree rape for acting in concert with her husband. Indecent exposure and lewd molestation charges were also filed against her Monday.

According to court records, Alan Laman was formerly convicted in Texas in May 1992 of felony credit card abuse, and again in April 1993 of burglary of a building.

According to the affidavit filed in April, Muldrow Police Officer Bob Vessell took a report from a female juvenile on March 23 at Redbird Smith Health Center in Sallisaw. During the statement to police, the 11-year-old girl said that Skipper Laman had allegedly taken pictures of her naked in late December or January. The girl told police that another occasion when she was at Laman's home, he allegedly had sex with her while his wife watched. She told police that when Laman had sex with her, he stopped and had sex with his wife while in the same room.
