Also Wilson will serve as a member of the Agriculture, Rules, Health and Social Services and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Resources Committees.
"I have complete confidence in Senator Wilson's ability to serve as the co-chair of the Finance Committee," Morgan, D-Stillwater, said. "As chairman of the Tourism and Wildlife Committee for the last two years Senator Wilson has successfully navigated difficult waters to emerge as a respected leader in the Senate. I am honored that he has agreed to serve in this new capacity."
Wilson said he looked forward to serving in his new legislative role.
"I'm honored that Senator Morgan asked me to me serve as co-chair of the Finance Committee," Wilson said. " I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead."
Following the Nov. 7 elections, the Senate will be evenly split with 24 Democrats and 24 Republicans for the 51st Oklahoma Legislature.
