Adult Basic Education classes will be held at Muldrow High School beginning Jan. 14. The classes will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Sallisaw will hold an open meeting on the school's Impact Aid Program, Title VII and Indian Policy and Procedures at 4 p.m. Monday at the administration building. Parents, patrons and interested parties are invited for a review and discussion.

Belfonte Public School will be educating students in the fifth through eighth grades on HIV and AIDS. The education will include a video and pre- and post-tests. The material will be on display for 30 days in the school library for viewing, beginning Jan. 4. Parents and guardians of students in the fifth through eighth grades may view the material and video from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14.
Bill London, the interim school superintendent at Marble City School, will meet and greet school patrons from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, before the regularly scheduled school board meeting. Refreshments will be served.

The eighth annual Central School College and Career Fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. until noon Tuesday in the FEMA building at Central School. Representatives from colleges and businesses will be available to speak to students about plans for their futures.

New Beginnings Church, six miles north of Sallisaw on U.S. Highway 59, will hold a revival at 7 p.m. each day, Wednesday through Saturday. The Johnson Ross family will lead the revival.
Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Eastside Baptist Church, Room S-112 in Fort Smith, Ark. The group will discuss plans for the year, including an Autism Awareness Event to be held in April, and upcoming programs and workshops. The church is located at 2710 Massard Rd. in Fort Smith. The Central High School Student Council will attend the Northeastern State University Leadership Camp in Tahlequah on Thursday.
A beans, cornbread and all the fixings lunch will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday at the OSU Extension Building on the Sallisaw Rodeo Grounds. The lunch will be sponsored by the Sequoyah Home Community Educators (HCE) and the meal, including dessert and a drink, will be $5 per person. To go plates will also be available for $5. A marriage and family class will be offered at the Muldrow Cherokee Community Activity Center beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18. The free 10-week class is geared toward the younger family with children, the single parent family and the blended families with step children. Larry Edwards of Muldrow will be teaching the class. Door prizes will be drawn for each night.
Professional Home Hospice is offering a volunteer training course for those interested in becoming hospice volunteers. The Tenkiller Area Community Organization (TACO) will have their monthly potluck dinner and meeting Tuesday, Jan.22, at the TACO Building on Mullens Lane in Cookson.
