The coalition's Crazy Clown Troupe visited with residents at Sequoyah Manor Nursing Home in Sallisaw and Sequoyah East Nursing Center in Roland in December. The troupe also visited hospitals in Sequoyah County and in Fort Smith, Ark., Alderson said.
TEEN members helped with the Trinity United Methodist Church and its Angel Tree and the Fellowship of Prison Ministry.
"Many members spent an afternoon shopping, organizing and wrapping presents for children in the community," Alderson said. "The money and gift donations from the members of Trinity United Methodist Church and along with the toys collected from the TEEN Coalition's annual Toy Time Toy Drive the group was able to fill 19 gifts bags for area children."
The gift bags were delivered to the families before Christmas. The members were also able to give a special Christmas toy to each child in the Muldrow Head Start program, Alderson said.
The coalition also volunteered their time at the annual Make-
A-Wish Foundation's gift-wrap store at Central Mall in Fort Smith, Ark. All of the proceeds are used to make a wish come true for a child suffering from a terminal illness, Alderson said.
"The TEEN Coalition will continue serving the community through its various projects and will assist other organizations with their projects," Alderson said.
