Seniors' Money Stolen

Dear Editor:

I'm a junior at Gore High School and just here recently we've had two robberies that took place two nights in a row.

All of the seniors' money was stolen, which the seniors worked very hard for. The next night, they broke in again and stole from the candy machine and then stole a lot more money from the school's vault and out of the office.

I think this is a dirty shame because how could somebody have the mind to steal money from students who have worked very hard for their classes to put together a school prom and have enough for a senior trip. I see it as a low thing to do because I have a job, so I can pay for everything I have and I've never had to steal to get anything. Plus, it's pretty sorry that those low lifes had to take money that was for a good cause.

Of all places to rob, they had to rob us, and the saddest part is after the first time they did it, they came back and robbed us again the next night. All of us at GHS have a right to be angry.

What kind of sick, immature people could do that to students? One day the ones responsible for all of this is going to get caught and they will have to answer for what they have done. It's safe to say from what I've heard that they better hope the law gets them before all of the students do, because from what I've heard if the students get them first, there will be some serious hell to pay.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
