VIAN - Londell Taylor recorded a double-double for Vian on Tuesday night to lead the Vian Wolverines to their third-consecutive victory with a 56-40 triumph over Central.
The win was Vian's second against the Tigers in four days following the teams' match-up in the third-place game of the Sequoyah County Tournament.
This time around, Taylor scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the way for Vian.
Zach Rogers added nine points and Timmy Hart eight as the Wolverines improved to 7-3 overall and 2-1 in the Big Eight Conference.
Central was paced by a game-high 15 points from Jose Tarin and another 12 from Tom Vogt.
Vian opened up a double-digit lead in the second quarter and was up 22-12 at halftime.
Central 44, Vian 34 (Girls)
VIAN - Bunny Postoak and Lacey Wallace both scored in double figures for Central Tuesday night as the Lady Tigers improved to 6-5 on the season.
Postoak netted 13 points and Wallace had 11 for Central, which built a 14-point lead by halftime of the Big Eight Conference clash.
Central, which beat Vian for fifth place at the county tournament the previous week, got another nine points from Kayla Lattimore.
Vian was led in scoring by Leigha Girty's 13 points.
Webbers Falls 58, Gans 56 (Girls)
WEBBERS FALLS - Sarah Humphrey scored 23 points and Ramie Toddy added 10 as the Lady Warriors edged Gans in a Riverside Conference game on Tuesday.
With the game tied at 55, Kimmy Carter sank two free throws to give Webbers Falls a 57-55 lead with 45 seconds to go.
Gans pulled within one, but Katlin Stone hit 1-of-2 free shots to seal the win for Webbers Falls.
Gans was led in scoring by Randi Childers with 19 points and Raegan Sparkman pumped in another 16.
Webbers Falls 63, Gans 48 (Boys)
WEBBERS FALLS - Ethan Morton led the way with 20 points as the Warriors notched a Riverside Conference win over Gans Tuesday night.
The Warriors got another 17 points from Kalib Webb and 15 from Cody Carter while moving to 5-6 overall and 3-1 in the league.
Gans was led by Joe Grooms' 20 points plus another 10 from Kyle John.
Gore 64, Boynton 55 (Girls)
GORE - The Lady Pirates evened their record in the Big Eight Conference with a home court win on Tuesday.
Now 2-2 in the league and 6-4 overall, Gore was led by Heather Andrews' 16 points. Whitney Mannon tossed in another 13, Caitlin Cawhorn 11 and Kaylene Megehee nine.
Brittany Lang paced the visitors with 17 points.
Boynton 70, Gore 32 (Boys)
GORE - Danny Kusler's 10 points paced Gore in a losing effort on Tuesday night.
Boynton opened the game with a 19-5 run and led the rest of the way while staying undefeated in the Big Eight at 4-0.
Roland 73, Poteau 35 (Boys)
POTEAU - Roland picked up where it left off after winning the county tournament as the Rangers dominated their NOAA conference game at Poteau Tuesday night.
Roland bolted to a 13-2 lead and never trailed while moving to 4-0 in the conference and 11-1 overall.
Robert Thompson netted 17 points and Nick Mooney 13 to lead the Rangers, who had 13 players score in the victory.
Poteau , which fell to 5-6 and 1-3, was led by Joey McBride's 11.
Poteau 55, Roland 53 (Girls)
POTEAU - Kasey Barber hit two free throws with 3.6 seconds left to hand Poteau the NOAA conference win over Roland.
The Lady Rangers dropped to 10-2 overall and 2-2 in the league despite 14 points from Ericka Edwards. Katie Beshoner and Amanda Williams both added eight for Roland.
Poteau, which was led by Julie Wilson's 18, outscored Roland 16-8 in the fourth period to rally for the victory.
