Sallisaw Officer Jeff Murray and Lt. Terry Franklin responded to a complaint of alleged prostitution and drug use at a room at Days Inn motel west of the intersection of U.S. Highways 59 and 64 in Sallisaw, police said.
When officers went to the door of the motel room, they were allowed inside the room by the occupants, police said.
The offers reported smelling a strong chemical odor inside the room. After receiving consent to search the room, police found chemicals and equipment commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Officers also found a quantity of white powder substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Frankie Kelly, 45, and Diana Logan, 35, both of Sallisaw, were arrested and booked into the city jail on charges of endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), trafficking CDS, possession of precursors, red phosphorous and pseudoephedrine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kelly and Logan are being held on no bond until they appear before a judge, the police reported.
