Funeral services for Richard Martindale, 52, of Poteau, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Phil McGehee officiating.

Burial was in Howe Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

He was born on March 12, 1951, in Shawnee, to Bill and Mary Martindale. He died on Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in Poteau.

Mr. Martindale was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his mother of Howe; two children, Nicholas Martindale and Audumn Rae Martindale, both of Howe; three brothers, Rodney Martindale of Stilwell, Randy Martindale of Howe and Russell Martindale of Roland; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Pallbearers were Randy Sisco, Len Cox, Zollie Johnson, Mike Little, Ed Lowther and Larry Battaglia.
