Funeral services for Edgar Samuel Huggins, 84, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, at the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with Revs. Charles Ogdon and Phil Tally officiating.

Burial was in Lee's Chapel Cemetery south of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Military Honors were provided by Muldrow Veterans of Foreign Wars #8384.

He was born on July 2, 1919, in Brent community, to Sam Huggins and Elizabeth (Renfro) Huggins. He died on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, in Roland.

Mr. Huggins was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Pentecostal faith.

He married Eula Dean Hallum on Dec. 8, 1941, in Cottonwood community. She preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 1972.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and LaRuth Huggins and Richard and Pat Huggins, all of Muldrow; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Darin and Dana Huggins and Dennis and Cindy Huggins, all of Muldrow; three great-granddaughters, Lindsey, Hali and Emma Huggins, all of Muldrow; one sister, Hazel Scott of Kingsburg, Calif.; and several other relatives and friends, including Roy and Betty Douglas of Canton, Miss.

Pallbearers were Eddie Huggins, Richard Huggins, Dennis Huggins, Darin Huggins, Roy Douglas and Jimmie Prescott.

Honorary pallbearers were Dale Owens, Leonard Snider, George Lee, Joe Lee and Warren G. Harvell.
