Area law enforcement officers served a search warrant for drugs at Timothy Wade Ward's home north of Sallisaw.
Officers found substances appearing to be methamphetamine, along with items of paraphernalia commonly associated with the use of controlled dangerous substances, Philpot said.
Ward, 43, was arrested and booked into the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Ward is being held without bond because he was previously convicted of a felony on two or more occasions Philpot said.
Philpot said officers with the his department, the Sallisaw Police Department, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol participated in serving the warrant.
