A Bunch woman was left uninjured after a four-vehicle wreck six miles south of Stilwell on U.S. Highway 59 in Adair County Thursday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

Nikki J. Starr, 16, of Stilwell was driving a 1999 Ford pickup north on U.S. Highway 59 when she made a westbound turn and collided with a 1994 Geo driven by Jimmie Don Blackman, 38, of Stilwell.

When Starr and Blackman's vehicles collided, Starr's vehicle was forced into a third vehicle that was eastbound and stopped at a stop sign on a county road.

The third vehicle, a 1999 Pontiac, was driven by Brooke A. Ross of Stilwell.

A fourth vehicle was stopped behind Ross and as a result of Starr's vehicle hitting Ross, the fourth vehicle, a 1996 Ford pickup, driven by Rhonda Kay Pritchett, 54, of Bunch rear-ended Ross.

Starr was treated for minor injuries and released from Stilwell Memorial Hospital. Starr's mother, Marie Starr, 45, was a passenger in her daughter's vehicle, and was admitted into the Stilwell Memorial Hospital in stable condition with head injuries.

Blackman and Ross were both treated for minor injuries and released from Stilwell Memorial Hospital. Pritchett was not injured in the accident.

The OHP reported that all vehicles involved in the accident were equipped with seatbelts and all seatbelts were in use.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
