Chayson Garrett Cole, son of Garrett and April Cole of Sallisaw, celebrated his first birthday on Feb. 28 with a party at the Sallisaw Civic Center.

The theme of the party was “Tonka Trucks.” Guests were served a “Tonka Truck” cake, ice cream, hamburgers and hot dogs.

His actual birth date is March 2.

Guests attending the celebration in addition to his mother were his grandparents Jeff and Laurie Lee and Sharon Cole; great-grandparents Wilburn and Sue Lee, John and Ruth Long, and Betty Morris; aunts Lauren Cole, Gaylene Tidwell, Wanda Einhorn, and Linda Long; uncle Alan, aunt Alisha and first cousin Cadence Lee; cousins Amy and “Elries” Edwards and Austin Tidwell; friends Chazie and Kieran Harrell, Brittany Mayes, Amber Morgan, and several other friends and relatives.

Unable to attend but sending gifts were Larry and Mona Neueenhouse, Shelly Cooper and Kyle Lee.

Special birthday wishes were sent from uncle Sfc. John Lee, who is stationed in Iraq.
