VIAN - The Gore girls closed their regular season on a high note, outscoring Vian in every quarter for a 60-44 win on Tuesday night.
The Lady Pirates moved to 15-7 overall and 10-4 in the Big Eight Conference by building a 10-point halftime lead and hanging on for the victory.
Senior guard Whitney Mannon led the way for Gore with a team-best 16 points while Kera Smith joined her in double figures with 11. Kaylene Megehee added eight, Macy Moseley eight and Paige Mannon seven.
Leigha Girty pumped in 17 points to pace the Lady Wolverines. Tara Smith netted another 11 and Ashley Hooper had five for Vian, which closed the regular season at 6-16.
Gore jumped out to a 16-9 lead in the first quarter and stretched its advantage to 27-17 by the break.
Vian 66, Gore 49 (Boys)
VIAN - The Wolverines completed a season sweep of Gore as Londell Taylor and Vfastv Locust combined for 40 points on Tuesday.
Taylor dropped in a game-high 25 points to go with 12 rebounds and Locust chipped in 15 points as Vian closed the regular season on a four-game winning streak.
The Wolverines improved to 16-6 overall and 10-4 in the Big Eight Conference after shaking off a determined Gore challenge in the third quarter.
The visiting Pirates hung close with Vian for the opening two quarters and were down 26-20 at halftime, but the Wolverines opened the third period with an 11-0 run and never looked back.
Stewart Long paced Gore with 15 points, John Brooks added 14 and Danny Kusler 10.
Seth Sloan added nine points for Vian.
Roland 87, Hilldale 30 (Boys)
ROLAND - The Rangers held Hilldale scoreless for more than 18 minutes on Tuesday night while romping to an easy non-conference win.
Hilldale was shut out in the first and second quarters and trailed 43-0 at halftime before a John Frisby basket finally got the visitors on the scoreboard with 5:47 left in the third quarter.
Roland ran its record to 21-1 as 15 players scored in the regular-season finale. Zac Roberts and Dea Jay Kelsey led the way with nine points each for the Rangers.
Roland 68, Hilldale 49 (Girls)
ROLAND - The Lady Rangers bolted to a 12-2 lead and went on to record their 19th win of the season with a non-conference triumph over Hilldale.
Roland moved to 19-3 as three players scored in double figures. Katie Beshoner poured in 15 to lead all scorers, while Ericka Edwards had another 14, Jenny Beshoner 11 and Ranee Taylor nine.
Hilldale closed the regular season at 10-12 despite 13 points from Becca Bargsten.
Sallisaw 51, Stigler 44 (Girls)
The Lady Diamonds notched their second win over Stigler in three tries this season as Lyndsey Daggs poured in a game-high 18 points Tuesday night at Paul Post Fieldhouse.
Daggs scored 11 of those points in the second half as Sallisaw built onto its two-point halftime advantage. A 16-10 surge in the third quarter put the Lady Diamonds up 35-27 and they held on to secure their third win in the last four games.
Sarah Snider added 11 points and Caitlyn Hall nine for Sallisaw (10-12).
Heather Kirkland led Stigler with 14 points and Becca Stubblefield had 13 as the Lady Panthers closed their regular season at 11-11 with the non-conference loss.
Stigler 57, Sallisaw 39 (Boys)
Trevor Teel scored 21 points for the Black Diamonds, but they still came up on the wrong end of the scoreboard against Stigler on Tuesday night.
The visiting Panthers got 24 points from Tyler Garner, plus another 15 from Justin Crouch.
Stigler held a five-point lead at halftime and took command with a 15-5 run in the third quarter.
Stilwell 48, Muldrow 47 (Girls)
MULDROW - The Muldrow girls came close to winning the NOAA conference championship out-right, but had to settle for a first-place tie after Stilwell handed them a defeat on Tuesday night.
The Lady Bulldogs needed a victory to finish their conference schedule alone in first place, but Kim Doyle stole an inbounds pass and hit the winning free throw for Stilwell.
The setback dropped Muldrow to 15-7 overall and 7-3 in the NOAA, leaving the Lady Bulldogs tied with Roland as co-champions.
Kendra Click led Muldrow with a game-high 11 points, while teammate Taylor Cawhorn scored eight and Abby Daniel, Christy Neu and Fallen Tate all netted six points each.
Stilwell, which finished its regular season at 9-13 and 5-5, was led by Kari Still's 10 points.
Stilwell 53, Muldrow 33 (Boys)
MULDROW - Brad Crawford scored 16 points on Tuesday night, leading Stilwell past the Bulldogs in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Stetson Howard paced Muldrow with nine points, while Brandon Stamps and Chris Waters added six each.
