Three Muldrow teens were injured Saturday when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned on a county road west of Muldrow, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

Ashley Marie Davis, 15, was traveling east in a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer at about 3:45 p.m. when she steered to the left, then overcorrected to the right, causing the vehicle to begin sliding and then overturn, according to the OHP report. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels in the roadway.

Davis and her sister, Brittany M. Davis, 14, were injured in the accident and were taken to Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw where they were treated and released.

Another passenger in the vehicle, Bruce D. Garres, 15, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa with head, arm, leg, and internal injuries after the accident, an OHP report states.

The OHP reported that no one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
