Adam Picazo Gutierrez, 39, of Sallisaw was charged June 22 with assault with a dangerous weapon, court records show.
At about 11 p.m. on Jan. 15, Sallisaw Police Lt. Beau Gabbert investigated a report of shots being fired at 914 S. Elm in Sallisaw.
Finding the residence empty, Gabbert was notified by dispatch that they had received a call from one of the parties involved in the incident. The victim reported that he went to the residence to speak to Gutierrez about a problem with the victim's girlfriend. A witness with the victim told police that Gutierrez came out of the side door of the residence with a gun, the officer reported.
Gutierrez fired twice at the victim's truck, hitting it once.
An arrest warrant was issued for Gutierrez on June 15. Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse set bond at $15,000.
James Heath Jamison, 32, of Muldrow was charged June 23 with first-degree burglary and three counts of violation of a protective order, court records show.
At about 8:30 a.m. on May 12, Deputy Ronnie Howard investigated a report at a Muldrow residence of unlawful entry into the residence by Jamison. Howard reported that the victim said she was taking a shower, and when she got out of the shower, Jamison was in her closet. She told the officer that she told Jamison to leave several times and he said he just wanted to talk to her.
The victim ran to a neighbor's house and called for help. Howard reported the victim said Jamison left and called her, telling her he had her keys and wallet which he would return if she would not notify the police.
Jamison returned about 10 minutes later and gave the victim her keys and wallet and left. The victim also reported Jamison chased her in her vehicle on May 24, and put a note in her vehicle May 25.
An arrest warrant was issued for Jamison on June 22 by Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse. No bond will be allowed.
David L. Taylor Jr.
Billy Ray Keech, 21, and David L. Taylor Jr., 22, both of Muldrow, were charged June 22 with first-degree burglary and two counts of assault and battery, records show.
Officer Randall Smoot with the Muldrow Police Department reported that at about 6 a.m. on July 5, 2003, Taylor and Keech went to one of the Gardenwalk Apartments in Muldrow. When the occupant would not open the door, Smoot reported that Taylor and Keech kicked in the door, went into the bedroom and began beating the male occupant. A female occupant, who was four months pregnant, reported that she tried to pull one of the men off her husband, and was hit in the stomach. She told Smoot that when she tried to call the police she was struck in the right jaw. Both victims had visible contusions on their faces and stomach areas.
The female victim was transported to a local hospital.
Arrest warrants were issued for Keech and Taylor on June 18. Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse set bond for both men at $15,000 each.
Freddy L. Miskell, 34, of Muldrow was charged June 24 with endeavoring to manufacture a controlled drug (methamphetamine), records show.
Cpl. Tim Keith with the Muldrow Police Department reported that at about 5 p.m. April 4, he assisted Officer Greg Peters in responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at a Muldrow residence. The officers found two brothers, James Miskell and Fred Miskell, involved in an altercation.
James Miskell told the officers that Fred Miskell was cooking dope at his trailer. The officers found nothing in James Miskell's trailer.
Fred Miskell was arrested for public intoxication and placed in a patrol unit. While searching Fred Miskell's trailer, the officers reported they found chemicals commonly used to make methamphetamine.
Fred Miskell was arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where he was released on a $3,000 bond on June 9.
Larry Scott Speer, 47, and Carmen Elaine Young, 48, both of Sallisaw, were charged June 22 with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony; and unlawful possession of paraphernalia, records show.
At about 4:30 p.m. June 16, Narcotics Task Force members conducted a search of a residence located in rural Sequoyah County. Speer was in the front yard when the officers arrived.
Found in the residence were a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance, that field tested positive for marijuana, several items of paraphernalia, scales, and several firearms, the officers reported.
Deputy Herbert Hutchinson reported he went to another residence where Young was working and placed her under arrest.
Speer and Young were transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where they were held on a $18,000 bonds each.
Tracy Jane Ritter, 36, of Sallisaw was charged June 23 with three counts of uttering forged instruments at a local store, court records show.
All three checks were drawn on an account marked "Account Closed." They were cashed in May 2003, and totaled $365.
An arrest warrant was issued for Ritter on June 23 by Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse. Bond was set at $10,000.
Warren Dwayne Sharp, 41, of Roland was charged June 22 with four counts of obtaining money by use of stolen credit or debit cards, and one count of taking the debit card of another, court records show.
Maj. Cindy Smith with the Roland Police Department was contacted by a female who said she had found several transactions listed on her bank statement, which she did not make. In March 2002, four withdrawals were made from her account that totaled $826.40. The victim told Smith that she had dated Sharp for a brief time and she said he admitted to using her card.
An arrest warrant was issued for Sharp on June 22 by Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse. Bond was set at $10,000.
Michael Thompson, 20, of Sallisaw was charged June 22 with knowingly concealing stolen property and carrying a weapon, court records show.
Thompson was arrested June 25, 2003, by members of the Sallisaw Police Department for carrying a concealed weapon.
Officer James Wilson reported that when he approached Thompson at about 1:30 a.m., he saw Thompson drop something out of his pocket.
Officer Shelton Fair took a report on June 26, 2003, that a female victim's car had been broken into and a gun and sunglasses had been stolen. The gun was the same one Thompson had in his possession the officer reported.
Thompson was arrested and transported to the Sallisaw City Jail.
