James D. Allred, 46, of Midwest City and Keith Bradley Allred, 22, of Yukon were charged April 12 with unlawful possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine); unlawful possession of marijuana; unlawful possession of paraphernalia; and carrying a weapon, records show.
While on patrol Sallisaw Officer Justin Smithson saw a vehicle driven by James Allred that was traveling 61 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. Stopping the vehicle, Smithson asked the driver and the passenger, Keith Allred, if they had any drugs or alcohol in the vehicle.
When the driver told the officer there was beer in the vehicle, Smithson searched the vehicle. He found a smoking device with a burned residue appearing to be marijuana that field tested positive for marijuana. Smithson also reported finding a jar containing a green leafy substance. He also found a plastic bag with a white powdery substance and a straw with a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. The officer reported finding a pair of brass knuckles in the back seat and two open cans of beer.
Arrest warrants were issued April 8 for the two men. Special District Judge Dennis Sprouse set bail at $7,500 each.
David Wayne Ardeneaux, 50, of Sallisaw was charged April 8 with lewd molestation and two counts of sodomy, a crime against nature, records show.
Sallisaw Detective Sandra Girdner investigated a report that Ardeneaux had sexually molested a five-year-old female several times during the summer of 2004.
The female was visiting her grandmother in Sallisaw at the time of the abuse.
Ardeneaux made an appearance at the Sequoyah County Jail where he was released April 14 on a $20,000 bond.
Kenny William Broyles, 28, of Sallisaw was charged April 12 with injury to a minor child, records show.
At about 5:45 p.m. on April 9, Sallisaw Officer Jeff Murray said he investigated a report of an adult male abusing a small child. Murray was told the man left the residence and was walking toward a Sallisaw business. The officer intercepted the man, identified as Broyles, and asked him about the alleged child abuse.
Broyles asked Murray if it was about Broyles spanking his son. Broyles admitted spanking the boy for breaking a beer bottle in the street.
An eye-witness said she witnessed the incident. She said Broyles was yelling at the boy and appeared to be angry while disciplining the child. She said the boy fell down from one of the blows and Broyles kept yelling at him to get up.
Murray reported seeing red marks on the boy's back.
An arrest warrant was issued for Broyles on April 12. Judge Sprouse set Broyles' bond at $10,000.
Sammy Linn Crone, 39, of Sallisaw was charged April 8 with feloniously carrying a firearm and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number during the commission of a felony, records show.
At about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21, 2003, Deputy Travis Gabbert investigated a report of possible trespassers at an abandoned Sallisaw residence.
Upon arrival at the residence, the officer found Crone who admitted he had a weapon in his vehicle.
An arrest warrant was issued for Crone and Judge Sprouse ordered Crone to be held without bond.
Christina DiGennaro, 30, of Vian was charged April 8, with larceny from a house, records show.
On Dec. 25 Vian Officer Derek Brown investigated a report from a Vian resident that she had two bottles of pills stolen from her. The victim said her daughter saw the person who stole the pills and identified DiGennaro.
An arrest warrant was issued April 5 for DiGennaro. Sprouse set bail at $3,500.
Candee Grussendorf, 23, of Muldrow was charged April 8 with false personation, records show.
On Jan. 19 Sallisaw Officer Wayne Rowell reported stopping a vehicle driven by Grussendorf for a traffic violation. While questioning the driver, she gave the officer a false name.
The officer wrote two citations for Grussendorf using the false name. The officer reported he later found out the correct name from the person whose name Grussendorf used.
An arrest warrant was issued April 4 for Grussendorf. Sprouse set bail at $5,000.
Christina R. Hayes, 20, of Sallisaw was charged April 8 with unlawful possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine), records show.
At about 3:10 p.m. on Feb. 17 Sallisaw Detectives John Owens and Sandra Girdner investigated a report from a resident who allegedly found drugs in her granddaughter's purse. The grandmother told the officers that her granddaughter was at the residence under the influence of the drug.
During a search of the purse the grandmother reported finding a syringe, a metal spoon and a piece of foil. The officers found a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine on the foil.
Owens and Girdner found Hayes having severe involuntary muscle spasms. Hayes was transported to Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw where she was admitted for drug overdose.
An arrest warrant was issued April 8 for Hayes. Sprouse set bail at $5,000.
Maurina Hendrickson, 34, of Muldrow was charged April 12 with knowingly concealing stolen property, records show.
At about 7:30 p.m. on April 6 Deputy Randy Gann investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle at a Muldrow residence.
The resident said someone broke into her home at about 11 p.m. April 5, and at about 7 a.m. April 6 while she was at work. Not recognizing the vehicle, the resident and her aunt blocked the driveway to prevent the strange vehicle from leaving the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Hendrickson. Hendrickson gave the officer permission to search her vehicle and Hendrickson found two plastic pill bottles with Dunn's name on them.
Hendrickson was arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where she was released April 12 on a $3,000 bond.
John Henry Hennessee, 48, of Sallisaw was charged April 12 with unlawful cultivation of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of paraphernalia, records show.
On April 5 Deputy Travis Gabbert participated in the search of Hennessee's residence in Sallisaw.
During a search of the residence Gabbert found two green leafy plants and a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana. Gabbert reported also finding a package of rolling papers.
Hennessee was arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where he was released April 5 on a $23,000 bond.
Billy Keech Jr., 22, of Muldrow was charged April 8 with feloniously pointing a weapon and carrying a firearm while under the influence, records show.
At about 3 a.m. March 18, Deputy Randy Gann investigated a report of a disturbance at a residence located south of Muldrow on Paw Paw Road.
The owner of the residence told the officer that Keech came to his house while he was drunk and began fighting with another person. The resident said he broke up the fight and Keech left. Later Keech returned to the house with a .22 caliber revolver and started pointing the gun at the resident. He allegedly fired the weapon toward the ground.
The officer reported the resident took the gun away from Keech and told him to leave. Keech refused to leave, went into the house and started another fight. This time the resident told the officer he threw Keech out of the house. Keech left in his truck and told the resident he was going to come back with a shotgun and kill him.
An arrest warrant was issued for Keech and Sprouse ordered Keech to be held without bond.
Ida Dean Merrill, 71, of Gans was charged April 8 with larceny of controlled drugs (Propoxy), records show.
At about 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 31 Sallisaw Officer Travis Buchanan investigated a report of the theft of medications. Upon arrival at the residence the owner of the residence told Buchanan that Merrill came to her residence on Jan. 28. While at the residence Merrill grabbed a prescription bottle, emptied the contents into her hand and left with her son, Jeff Merrill.
The victim showed Buchanan an empty prescription bottle for Propoxy-N/APAP prescribed to the victim by a Sallisaw doctor. She said she had the prescription filled Nov. 10 and all 50 pills had been in the bottle because she had not taken any of them.
An arrest warrant was issued April 8 for Merrill. Sprouse set bail at $5,000.
Bobby Dale Qualls, 27, of Sallisaw was charged April 12 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and resisting an officer, records show.
At about 11:38 a.m. Sept. 7, 2003, Sallisaw Arthur Cox investigated a report of a stolen vehicle from a Sallisaw residence.
Upon arrival at the residence, the victim identified the alleged thief as Qualls. The victim said Qualls got out of the vehicle and ran off on foot.
An arrest warrant was issued for Qualls April 8. Sprouse set bond at $7,500.
Daman R. Shade, 19, of Vian was charged April 8 with second-degree burglary and robbery by force and fear.
On Feb. 10 Vian Officer Michael J. Thomas investigated a report of a fight at a Vian residence. Upon arrival at the residence the victim said that several people held him down while a man beat him up. The officers went to the house where Tate and the perpetrators supposedly were.
Shade was arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where he is being held without bail.
Robert William Sparks, 18, of Sallisaw was charged April 12 with unlawful possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a park; unlawful possession of marijuana; and unlawful possession of paraphernalia, records show.
Deputy Chris Grizzle participated in the search of a Sallisaw residence belonging to Sparks on April 7. During the search of the residence, Grizzle reported finding a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana. He reported he also found a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Also found were straws and rolling papers. The residence is within 1,000 feet of a city park.
Sparks was arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where he was released April 7 on a $6,500 bond.
